Who we are
Originally established in 1969, The Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing (GIIM) is a Category II of R&D public institute and is one of the key R&D institutes of the Guangdong Academy of Sciences. The GIIM focuses on the applications and fundamental R&D areas for the development of industries and carries out further R&D activities over key technologies of Automation, Information Technology, artificial intelligence and Standardization to offer technology transferring &support and public S&T services to the regional industries for their development.
The GIIM owns many R&D platforms such as the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Modern Control technology, the Guangdong Modern Control and Optical Mechanical and Electrical technology laboratory, and the Guangdong Research and Development Centre of Automatic Control Engineering Technology. The GIIM has been mainly engaging in the R&D fields like Intelligent Sensing Technology, Intelligent equipment technology, Robotics Technology, Manufacturing Information Technology and lightweight design & reliability testing technology.
The GIIM has set up many University-industry-Institute and Regional Service Platforms (Foshan/ Zhongshan /Zhuhai) and The GIIM has become the innovative training base for R&D activities/technology transferring/talents training of intelligent manufacturing in recent years.
Right now, the GIIM is going to update its R&D teams under new strategy of development. In accordance with the principles of openness, equality, competition, we are now open to recruiting high-level talents at home and abroad!
